Northern Lapwing

€300.00

Ireland’s national bird, the Pilibín, is a beautiful wading bird with its glossy plumage. The Irish name refers to Philip II of Spain, who was known to wear a feather in his cap, much like the plume of our Northern Lapwing.

Watercolour on pure cotton paper, 23 × 29 cm. Framed in a limed wooden frame, measuring 40 × 45 × 3 cm, ready to fly off to a wall.

While every effort is made to represent the colours of the original painting as accurately as possible, variations may occur according to the screen on which the image is viewed.

The finest quality artist watercolours are used, and the colours should not fade. It is recommended, however, not to hang watercolour paintings in direct sunlight for extended periods of time.
