Emerging with their cheerful faces from the wintry undergrowth, the violets accompany the dainty primroses.

Watercolour with genuine gold leaf (15 ct and 22ct) on deckle torn cotton paper, the painting measures 17 × 17 cm. Float mounted in a deep box frame in limed wood, with outside dimensions of 28 × 28 × 4 cm, the painting is ready to hang on a wall or stand on a shelf.
